Join us as we celebrate National Credit Union Youth MonthTM, April 1-30, 2017!
It’s never too early to start teaching your children about money! Each year in April, Credit Unions throughout the country celebrate Youth Month, focusing on our commitment to promoting and encouraging positive savings habits to our keiki. We wanted to share with you a few tips on ways to encourage good money habits with your kids. Take a look at the info graphic below with great tips for children of all ages.
We want you to join us in the festivities all month long! Bring your keiki in to any HFS branch during the month of April to make a deposit and they will receive a special gift.* They will also be entered into the National Youth Savings ChallengeTM to win $1,000!** Be sure to also have your keiki give their best guess at the number of coins in our piggy banks! Keiki with the closest guess will win all the coins inside!
If your child doesn’t have a savings account yet, no problem! Come on in and open their first savings account and we’ll get them started off right with their very own HFS piggy bank along with their Youth Month gift. Don’t miss out on the fun, we hope you will join us!
*Gift is available to all youth ages 17 and under who make a deposit at the Credit Union between April 1, 2017 – April 29, 2017 while supplies last. **All youth ages 17 and under who make a deposit at the Credit Union between April 1, 2017 – April 29, 2017 will be automatically entered into the National Youth Savings ChallengeTM. Limit 1 entry per person. While youth are encouraged to make a deposit at the Credit Union, no deposit is required to enter. Parents and guardians giving permission to youth to enter may submit a 3″ x 5″ piece of paper with the following information to the Credit Union: Name, Date, and Age. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries. If selected as a winner of the National Youth Savings Challenge, HFS will randomly select a winner from its entrants and will notify them by phone by May 31, 2017.
