Every year HFS FCU chooses an organization to support during our Annual Fundraiser. In 2016, it was our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Kapi‘olani Medical Center.
With the generosity of our members and staff, the Credit Union raised a total of $34,428.99. But it didn’t stop there… through a partnership with CO-OP, we were able to contribute an additional $10,000, rounding out our donations at $44,428.99! This was an awesome amount to be able to donate to such a worthy organization that has helped so many in our communities.
All funds raised were also included in our Hawai‘i Credit Union League’s 5 in 5 pledge to raise $500,000 in 5 years for Kapi‘olani Medical Center. Together with other Hawai‘i Credit Unions, HFS’s 2013 and 2016 fundraisers helped our league exceed their goal even before the 5 years were up!
Update: We have some exciting news! HFS received an award for being the Highest Fundraising Large Credit Union for the Children’s Miracle Network – Kapi‘olani Medical Center. Accepting the award was our Manager of Administration, James Staub, pictured with Tom Mundell, Senior Vice President of Philanthropy and President of Kapi‘olani Health Foundation.
